Testing and upgrading wiring systems

In some situations the reason for an electrical fault can be an issue such as having a dated wiring system (which unfortunately isn’t robust enough to handle the load of modern appliances). Our experienced electricians will carry out a thorough check and provide you with a detailed report. We’ll then provide the appropriate advice on all the options available including an upgrade, or complete rewiring.

Installation of Residual current device (or RCD) for additional safety

Having an RCD installed increased the safety in your home/business and is an effective way to prevent electrical shocks. This efficient device immediately breaks an electrical circuit as soon as someone touches a live wire. If the RCD detects any electricity flowing down an unintentional path (such as a person), the RCD will automatically switch off the circuit quickly; significantly reducing the risk of serious injury or even death. If you already have this device, then it is always important to ensure that that it is in good/correct working order.

called at lunchtime and they were here later that day - great same day service! Extremely helpful and certainly knew what they were doing and talking about. Solved the issue quickly and efficiently, explaining what had happened and why. Gave some great advice and were very polite and friendly. We will call use Peter again if we need an electrician - would definitely recommend.
